EASTER TABLE TRENDS

Easter is just around the corner...time to start dreaming up how to set the table. As party planners, we love all the holidays. We rounded up our favorite Easter DIYs that are easy, affordable, and make a big impact...in just a few minutes.

Trend 1: Gingham

Fresh from the fashion runways: check and gingham is a huge trend for spring. Our new Debi Lilly Design vases are right inside Albertsons Safeway stores in the floral department. You can grab them this week along with your gallon of milk...so pretty and chic.

Designer tip : Add loops of Lily Grass to your floral arrangements for soft hint of spring texture. To make grass loops, just tuck one end into the vase, then arch the grass and tuck the other end into the vase. Voila - instant loop!

Trend 2: Peeps

Seat your peeps with these easy DIY Peep place cards - so festive, fun and they add a pop of color to your plate. To make Peeps stand up, cut a bit off of the bottom of the Peep with scissors, so the sticky marshmallow is exposed, and sticks right to the plate. To add a placecard ontop the Peep, use a sharp knife to cut into the ears, making a slit for the placecard to sit inside of.

Trend 3: Bunny Donuts

Guests love to see something new...taste something new...talk about something new. Turn your favorite white bakery donuts into bunny donuts with diy paper ears stuck into the tops.

Cut oval shaped bunny ears out of white cardstock, adding a pale pink ear for contrast. Tape the back of the paper ears to toothpicks. Stick them right in the top of a white glazed donut and place them on a platter, or at each placesetting, for your guests to enjoy.

Trend 4: Candles.

No matter the time of day, candles are the best way to add some drama and romance to your table. Placed down the center of the table and lit for flickering candlelight among the flowers, or placed at each setting like a guest favor, they add both color and detail to any celebration.

Trend 5: Cotton Candy Cocktails

Preset big, fluffy cotton candy "clouds" inside shallow, round champagne coupes, or glassware for a pretty, styled Easter bar or table. Hint: cotton candy is spun sugar, and "melts" when exposed to air, so make these as a last minute detail before guests arrive, not hours in advance.

When ready to serve simply pour champagne ontop, or sparkling lemonade for a family friendly mocktail. The cotton candy melts instantly - like science experiment chic.
