SUPER BOWL STYLE: PARTY MENU

Let's get ready to rumble! Sunday means Superbowl - ready set go.

First up: cocktails.

We love serving up mini soda bottles in the six pack holders, set on the bar. Pour a splash of Whiskey and fresh rosemary sprigs into mini Cokes, or Vodka and mint sprigs into Sprite, and a paper straw. Voila. Keep chilled until guests arrive.

Wrap paper straws in coordinated stripes with paper tags - and glue stick ends together.

Black and white stripe paper turns into referee cones - placed into small glasses to display. Fill with grab and go party snacks like colorful Terra Chips or custom mix popcorn, toffee, dark chocolate covered almonds, and drizzle with chocolate icing.

Black and white paper adds a pop of football style to plain white platters - cut paper inserts to fit perfectly depending on each platter for the tasting bar.

Tin can chic: wrap clean, empty cans with brown paper and create laces with white correction tape. Fill with forks, spoons, and more for display.

Create a bites menu in your favorite team flavors: for Patriots Rams we turned to Northeast and West Coast flavors we love, like Caprese Bites.

Caprese Bites Recipe

Toast wheat bread, cut into quarters to form small squares. Layer onto each slice: watercress or shredded lettuce, halved grape tomato, bacon slice, halved mini mozzarella ball. Dust with fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Carnitas Sliders Recipe

In a slow cooker, layer:

2 pounds boneless pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch chunks

1 large onion, quartered

5 garlic cloves, crushed

2 bay leaves

1 tablespoon cumin seeds

1 tablespoon coriander seeds

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

Turn the heat to high. Cook until the meat is quite tender, about 1 hour, then cool. Remove the bay leaves and discard. Break or roughly chop the meat into bite-size pieces.

Slice small slider rolls in half, layer with carnitas, bacon, arugula, top half of bun, then small cornichon pickle, and toothpick to secure.

Mini Baked Potatoes Recipe

Roast mini potatoes in oven, 350 degrees, 45 minutes or so until tender (test with a fork). Remove, and let cool. Slice across the top, and squeeze sides together with fingers to slightly open up. Squeeze sour cream into the opening (can use a pastry bag to make squeezing easy) and layer chopped chives, chopped bacon.

Clam Chowder Pot Pie Recipe

Using your favorite mini ramekins, fill with store bought clam chowder. Using store bought pie crust, cut pieces of crust to size to cover top of mini ramekins. Bake in oven, 350 degrees, until pie crust "top" is brown. Add fresh sprig dill to garnish and serve with small spoons.

Green tissue becomes "turf" quickly when you cut ends into "grass". Run tissue down the table for a turf runner, or layer into frames and signs to add a touch of turf to party details.

Stylist tip: make sure to fluff the turf grass - it makes it more dimensional and eye catching.

Don't forget the Bingo game fun...it's easy to google and find free downloads online, and print at for guests to enjoy. Everyone loves an ice breaker - and fun party touches to keep them entertained.

Hut hut...hike! Here we go.
