PEONIES PLEASE: PARTY STYLE

Ready for spring, anyone? We're serving up sunny spring style in spades. Peony spades.

They say sunshine is the best medicine. So let's gather the girls, the friends, the neighbors, the family - everyone - and celebrate the spring season. Here we go.

Step 1:

Create a collection of vases on your table. Ceramics are having their moment, and we couldn't love it more. Another favorite collection: glass bottles, in all shapes and sizes.

Step 2:

Fill vases with large, voluminous blooms. The more narrow the top of the vase, the larger and wider the bloom to help give the overall design scale. We love coral charm peony - and as you've probably noticed, can't set a table without them.

Step 3:

To soften the bloom, add in a stem of textural greens to add dimension. Our favorite: a hint of airy bupleurum.

Step 4:

Set the table, adding a thoughtful party menu and fresh bloom to each setting. Guests love to know what is happening next, and being served. With so many dietary issues today, sharing the menu helps guests navigate quickly, before service, if there is any type of food allergy.

Step 5:

Layer in candles for a soft glow at the table. No matter the time of day, the romance and flickering of candlelight adds a warmth and ambiance to the room.

Step 6:

Personalized, thoughtful touches making guests feel welcome are always in style. Placing guest names at each setting allows guests to easily find their seat, and adds a dash of style and elegance.
