All the pretty trends we la la love for 2020...ready, set? Let's discuss.
First up: cascading southern smilax vines used here, there, and everywhere for dramatic garden vibes, bringing the outside inside. Layer them down tables, across chair backs, off of the ceiling, hanging from chandeliers and more.
Second: soft pops of pastel color is the new neutral. Colored candles, colored glassware, and hints of hues like coral in white and ivory florals packs a big punch of style.
Third: dried, bleached floral blooms adding vintage prairie texture and dimension. Favorites include bleached ruskus, wheat and hanging amaranthus.
Fourth: made by hand artistic touches at the table, including hand torn edges on guest menus, placecards, stationery and more.
Fifth - oh how we love our fave new cocktail trend - The Herbal Shrub Bar. Essentially an herb vinegar syrup. We love Rose Geranium, Lemon Verbena, Sage and Bay Laurel.
To set a Shrub Bar, simply select shrub flavors and pair with fresh fruit jams for mix and sip style. Step 1: spoon jam into a cocktail glass. Step 2: fill with champagne or sparkling water. Step 3: finish with a splash of shrub. So fresh - so fun.
Sixth: anything and everything Classic Blue, the 2020 Pantone.
Mix hints of this calming, soothing sky sea hue into party elements, like a focal point cake, placed ontop the sweets table.
Guests love to see and taste mini sweets - these are an easy way to sneak a small bite of sugar instead of serving big slices of cake to each guest.
Gasp. So so gorgeous.
Another favorite trend: brushstroke watercolor style finishes to sweets, stationery and more.
Almost too pretty to eat...
And voila - the piece de resistance - pastry cones filled with macarons, meringues, dried edible rose petals and mini floral blooms - can you even? Now that's a sweet ending...
