Dinner a deux, with your valentine, anyone? Today we're setting a table for 2, and here's how.
Using a collection of favorite vases, large and small, fill with seasonal blooms in the valentine palette: white, red, blush.
Place vases together, grouped in the center of the table, alternating small, large, small for variation and visual interest. Layer soft, grey green silver dollar eucalyptus down the table for a soft, spring finish.
Pro tip:
Our favorite "recipe" for Valentine florals includes hydrangea, spray rose, hypericum berry, and summer stock for a soft, fluffy, romantic bouquet.
Next, dress your favorite wine in a bright red bow. We love 1" double face satin ribbon - so elegant and so fast and easy to work with.
A beautiful table is all about the pretty details. As Gigi always says, pretty is as pretty does.
Last, set the dinner table, and create a favorites menu for yours truly. Serve up his or hers go to first course appetizer, entree, dessert and more. Here in Chicago - that always means the go to Eli's Cheesecake for a sweet ending.
Stylist secret:
Slice the top off fresh strawberries, and using a small knife carve a heart shape to garnish the dessert plate, cocktails, and more.
Cheers to you St Valentine.
