Happy new year!
A whole new year means new ideas…priorities…goals…dreams.
My 2016 resolutions are all right here – my peeps.
I’m planning a whole new year with more fun, more time together, more laughter, more love, more family.
One big favorite goal I’m going to keep working on is shown right here: have a photographer (or friend, or family) snap great family picts when on vacation, or even just all together, even at home.
I pour though photos of family every moment I get – from months ago, from years ago – they bring such happiness and joy.
And I’m allowing one more resolution – to jump back into blogging. I’ll be honest – Instagram and our lovely magazine really knocked me off my blogging game.
But I miss it so much – so – I’m back baby!
Hope your holidays were fabulous – happiest 2016 to you.

And we’re off…
Scouting across Paris for all the brand new, white hot trends for party planning, catering menus, craft cocktails, fabulous florals, color palettes, design details and more.
We’ll be here for a few weeks, tasting, sipping, stocking up.
From Ile St Louis, our home away from home, to hipster Marais, sophisticated St Germain…we plan to cover it all.
Do tell, what do you want us to research, snap snap away with our cameras, and promptly report back?
We’ll make our list, and check it twice, and share, share away.

Hello and happy summer!
This clever, coral crab beach ad in the new issue of CSBrides magazine reminded me to share a great travel tip.
My latest jewelry obsession: remember to always insure your valuables – especially with traveling this summer – and of course all of you brides and grooms flying off to honeymoon.
No matter what type of jewelry, gifts symbolize a very special memory, and should be properly insured with my favorite, local midwest friend: Perfect Circle Jewelry Insurance by Jewelers Mutual at ProtectYourRing.com.
Tra la la – now off to travel and soak up summertime inspiration, worry free.
Happiest Mother’s Day to you, from my family, to yours.
Every woman I know is a mother.
Mothering, caring, loving, in so many different ways, to oh so many.
To that end, cheers to the men, the uncles, the fathers, the grandfathers, who also mother right along with us.
I was born a mother.
When I was young I was first a sister, then babysitter, cousin, auntie, devoted friend.
But I always and forever dreamed, and yearned to be a mother.
Which makes celebrating family and friends today all the more beautiful.
I am exploding with gratitude.
Whomever you mother, however you spend your day, may it be filled with love and laughter.
And so much happily ever after.
Cheers to mothers, around the world, caring and tending every minute of every day.

Tony Bennett said it best, in 1962.
I left my heart in San Francisco
High on a hill, it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars…
My love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea…
I could never, ever tire of this view.
And today, January 21, sixty plus degrees and sunny.
