Can you join us tomorrow, for some serious fun?
I am beyond thrilled – elated is the best word – to speak at The Apple Store, Michigan Avenue sharing small business stories from the trenches, social media tips and tricks, branding ideas, and so much more.
So be there – it’s going to be a crazy fun party, May 6th, at 7p.

Finally – it’s here!
Join us for Brides, Bubbles and Bliss this Wednesday, March 26th, 6:00 pm, inside Chicago’s legendary Union Station.
We are sharing all things trendy for weddings 2014 in our reception lounge – linen, flowers, stationery, favors and so much more!
Plus, we’ve crafted up five brand new custom craft cocktails with our favorite local Chicago vodka – Real Russian.
Can’t wait to see you then…two more days!
Next week we’ve got a fresh, fun, fabulous wedding and party trends event just for you!
We’re whipping up gorgeous new spring florals, DIY wedding decor, and so much more.
Beautiful Private Label Linens in spring’s hot hues will be adorned to feature DIY lace doily tabletops, DIY lace doily scallop cocktail table wraps, and so much more.
Victoria Sdoukos Couture will captivate with her sensational silk wedding gowns – all fresh off our fantasy’s fashion runways – with the most elegant touches of vintage beading, glamour, and gorgeous.
Best of all – each dreamy bridal gown is paired with a handmade confection of a wedding cake – one right after the other – for a delicious cake walk of a promenade throughout the party.
Pure Kitchen Catering shall astound with their beautiful bites – don’t they always?
Cocktails, bien sur, shall abound, with Binny’s crafting up local craft cocktails perfect for spring and summer parties.
And of course Carasco Photography and Fig Media will capture all the magic, for us to share and inspire.
So say “I do”, won’t you?
Tickets are $10 each, but with our discount code “Cake2014” we invite you to join us, as our special guests, free of charge.
Just click here – and we’ll see you next week!
Maybe it’s because I love lighthouses…
And the sea…
And they remind me of our far away Nantucket right here on the lake.
But I couldn’t resist sharing these stunning images today – just a wee bit more frozen fantasy for the week.
They are quite sinister, sea monster esque – non?

How would you describe the frozen windy city, in one word?
After 6 cancelled flights in 5 days on 2 airlines, we surrendered to O’hare.
We rented a big SUV from Avis in Connecticut, loaded in our 8 suitcases full of Christmas presents galore, and every so slowly wove our way home across five snowy states over 2 days, for 15.5 hours, back to our fair, frozen, Windy City.
And, as work would have it, Mike has already flown off – business trip #1 for 2014.
Now, off to design we go – our DIY Decadence is just 4 short days away!
