A La Mode for Breakfast

How about petite dejuner today, with none other than Karl himself?

Personally, I can think of no better way to start the day.

The Fashion King himself, right before your eyes.

Even better, add in A La Mode, two handsome Parisian model-esque musicans, perched about pretty Paris, from pajamas…

To scootering through Montmartre’s tiny rues and alles, upright big bass holding on tight through twists, turns, and all…

Bonjour de Paris…ooh la la…

Enjoy A La Mode for Breakfast yourself, by clicking here.

Smitten.

Have watched now for 24 hours.

J’adore A La Mode avec KL!

A bientot.

More Amour

Entre deux coeurs qui s’aiment, nul besoin de paroles.

Two hearts in love need no words.

by Desbordes-Valmore

The view up to the snippet of blue summer sky, from the gorgeous garden of Hotel Amour.

Mon dieu – I would LOVE to have a dinner party on the private terrace upstairs, wouldn’t you?

Tiny red banquettes for two…

and more two by two by two…

Even the cave down the narrow spiral staircase brings design style.

This is the lounge for the restrooms.

Most darling lights EVER, made from vintage wooden toy soliders.

Hunting for escargots…

Many were found.

And later discovered inside pockets.

Pu-er.

Pee-ew.

All of this lush, bountiful beauty made for the perfect quiet afternoon sketch.

And frites skewering.

The charm and serenity served sitting in the garden, matches the marvelous menu and service.

J’adore Hotel Amour.

Ascot Afternoon

Don’t you just love the beauty of celebration?
How, by defining and designing a special occasion, we in turn create the most wonderful new surprises?
At one of my favorite hotels in the world, famed London milliner Stephen Jones and hotel chef John Campbell have collaborated to do just this.
These – believe it or not – are darling millinery inspired tea cakes which will be served during a special Ascot 300th Anniversary Afternoon Tea at nearby hotel Coworth Park.
Have you EVER?

Know what else is irresistible about Coworth Park?

Well, everything, truth be told.

Have you heard of The Spatisserie?

I mean, brilliant, isn’t it?

One of the three hotel restaurants, with stunning views over Coworth Park’s gorgeous, manicured English Gardens and grounds.  It is always glass doors wide open, filled with glorious countryside sunshine and light.

Of course the most refined afternoon tea is available including homemade scones with clotted cream, cakes and more of those amazing sculptural themed pastries.

With a relaxed, refined atmosphere and a terrace that overlooks croquet lawns and sunken gardens; The Bar is of course the perfect place to unwind in style at Coworth Park.

Drawing Room anyone?  Surely no English Manor is complete without one, done fabulously.

Nestled on 240 acres of idyllic Berkshire parkland, about 45 minutes outside of London, Coworth Park is a restored Georgian Manor House and estate with 70 rooms and suites.

Within walking distance of historic Windsor Great Park, Coworth Park is a gateway to the breathtaking vistas, cultural gems and heritage sites that make the southwest of England such a fascinating and rewarding region to visit.

Placing centuries of English Heritage on your doorstep, Windsor and the myriad wonders of the River Thames are only a stone’s throw away.

Devoted to the horsey set, Coworth Park Equestrian Centre sets a new standard in equestrian recreation and is open for all hotel and local residents to experience the thrill of horse riding, whatever their level or ambition in the saddle.

Coworth Park also features Polo stables, field, and more with the season taking place from April through to the end of September annually.

Parents in need of the ultimate family vacation – with its own dedicated ‘Kids’ Concierge’, available to organize trips out, book activities and help them explore the estate, there will always be someone on hand to make sure the children have as much fun as the adults.

You don’t even need a passport – or a nasty onset of jet lag to take a leisurely tour of the manor, gardens, and experience it’s beauty for yourself.  We have made it easy peasy for you – just click below and enjoy.

Bon Voyage, and happy Ascot Coworth Park.

Tea Time in London

We have tea partied ourselves silly for three days.

Girly, decadent, royal tea parties – six times over in three days – are really the most fun you can have making sweet memories with your daughter.

But we saved the best of London’s great High Teas for last.

Lucky ducks – we sat right here – along the lovely window of The Promenade at The Connaught – for tea today.

I love an escape to the English Countryside.

They so elegantly bring all of it’s cozy charm right here to Mayfair.

Besides looking outside at the gorgeous weather today, and fashionable passersby, we had the stunning viewing of the white wooden focal point buffet table.

Their food was so beautifully prepared, and plated, and served, and tasty.

Tea finger sandwiches included Proscuitto and Roasted Tomato on tiny Olive Rolls, Vegetable Focaccia..

There were four housemade jams to sample.  Fig Raspberry, Black Currant, Kumquat, Strawberry Balsamic.

And our darling French waiter brought us a fifth…quince and vanilla.

Chocolate Scones were a heavenly surprise.

In addition to the room with the view…

And the menu…

The service was off the charts.  There were half a dozen waiters caring for each table.

I could barely take photos of the room, as there were so many handsome french garcon in every single direction that I looked.

On your next visit – make sure to pop over for Bon Appetit at The teeny tiny, yet larger than life, Connaught Hotel.
