Yesterday was SUCH a blast, designing fall tabletop trends with our friends
Room and Board, celebrating our new book along with their fifteenth
anniversary in their stunning Oakbrook store.
Our A Perfect Event design DIYs straight from the pages of our new
book…ontop their gorgeous, must have furnishings, dining tables, outdoor
patio collections, and more.
This was my favorite tabletop – isn’t it oh so sweet?
Grocery to gorgeous baby – with all details available right in the aisle of
your local neighborhood Dominick’s:
1. Debi Lilly Design Pumpkin Spice pillar candles
2. mini jack o’lanterns
3. sugar pumpkins (for baking, in the produce aisle for pies)
4. and oodles and oodles of candy corn
Stay tuned for our step by step DIY, coming up tomorrow.
Here’s to a happy fall, full of holiday cheer.
Just two more days until Room and Board’s Fall Trends Party – are you ready?
We can’t wait to share oh so many gorgeous, elegant autumn designs:

Marie Antoinette Champagne and Let them eat Cake Fete, T-24.5 hours.
(Well, I am in San Francisco, on Pacific Time).
We simply cannot wait.
How will we ever sleep?
Like little french renaissance artisans, we will be transforming our studio
from everyday elegance to Versailles all night, all morning, all day
Sneak peek du jour, this one from Swirlz Cupcakes.
With Catherine working overtime in our studios designing the picture
perfect period paper doll cake toppers (and cutting…ooh la la the scissor
skills for the cutting.)
And you think they LOOK darling, and delicious?
Wait until you TASTE them.
Imagine Vanilla Pink Champagne cakes, paired with Vanilla Moscato Cakes, filled
with luscious Champage Sabayon.
Errrr, as Marie and Louis XVI would say, "Mon Dieu".
Sneak Peek day two inside our A Perfect Event eMagazine launch party.
Julius Meinl, you make it so easy to love you.
Look – just LOOK at what Chef Rochelle is baking up for Wednesday’s Marie
Antoinette inspired french fancy fete.
Queen’s Court Cakes, vanilla cookie, buttercream swirled with lemon curd,
toasted coconut, topped with an edible pearl.
I ask you – would Marie herself, surounded by her royal Versailles ladies
in waiting, not swoon over these beauties?
Followed by none other than King’s Chocolate Cakes, dark chocolate cookie
with vanilla cream cheese butter cream, with deconstructed bow tie.
Plus – beautiful blooming bites from Sugar Bliss Cakes, Swirlz Cupcakes,
Toni Patisserie, and more.
Two more days.
