A picture perfect evening deserves the sweetest of endings.
Well – perfect on all counts except for Parker walking into the beautiful backyard setting, and within minute spiking a volleyball into the dining table, smashing an heirloom china plate into smithereens.
And did I mention, Lilly dropped same said heirloom over Easter last year, bringing our family breakage tally to not one, but two priceless pieces of grandma’s family china?
Ann and Pierce of course – as always – serve the perfect dinner soiree up in spades.
Handmaking the most decadent of vanilla ice creams – topped with tiny, tasty berries from Michigan – our hosts extraordinaire topped any Memorial Day celebration we could ever imagine.
Cheers to summer!
What a gorgeous summer’s day.

We are off to a beautiful backyard barbeque with dear friends, bottle of
champagne chilled, ready for toasts.

Well friends, it’s official.
The summer season has now begun.
How, it’s here already, we just don’t know.
Lucky for us, our June is chock full with gorgeous gardenesque goodness.
Weddings…and parties…and book launches…and rooftop cocktail soirees with a side of book signings.
We have never had more to celebrate, more to be grateful for, more to raise our glasses and toast to summer’s bounty.
Merci beaucoup to all of you – our dear friends and clients – for making our summer season the most fun we have ever dreamed of, and dreamed up.
Now – back to our wanderings.
We have a Garden Party Book Launch this Tuesday in a client home – and we are sourcing and scouring up the prettiest Milk Glass compotes and petite pitchers that you ever did see.
First stop always always – Brownstone Antiques in Andersonville. We stepped one inch inside the door – and HAD to have that darling Banana crate.
Our visions include rare fresh picked peach Peonies, lavender Sweetpea, and pink Garden Roses…
We are drooling just thinking about the beauty that Tuesday shall bring.
Just you wait until you see our sneak peeks.
And we must mention the exceptional menu our dear friends Elaina at Boutique Bites and Revae at Femme du Coupe have dreamed up for the fanciful fete, in none of other, of COURSE than Happy Hinsdale.
Does it seem we are always saying this?
We think yes…and we are lucky to be off in joy and gratitude once again today.
Off we go to Victor Hotel, to dress the The Big Picture – Chicago Lost and Found’s annual fundraising gala.
Here’s our sneak peek – "lost" toile plates and glass bottles meet "found" Phaleonopsis Orchids, alternating with our must have for spring, pretty Peonies.
We are in love…
