Did anyone read my new favorite book, 5 am, Fifth Avenue?
It’s a-mazing.
The back story on publishing, screenwriting and producing the first feminist movement book of its time Breakfast at Tiffany’s, darling iconic Audrey, the troubled Truman Capote, and so much more retro drama.
Grab a copy, wrap it up, place under the tree.
This was 5 am, Lake and State, taping at ABC a few days ago.
Just like beautiful Fifth Avenue, the streets of Chicago shine.
Though waking up at three am more times this month than I ever thought possible was a teensy bit tough, I love the empty streets the same way Audrey did.
Lake Shore Drive is still.
Michigan Avenue lights are silently aglow.
State Street sleeps.
The El is hushed and quiet.
It is so beautiful.
Growing up here, I cherish every childhood memory along these streets.
These are the avenues we strolled, we rode, we shopped, and we spent our time together with family and friends.
Sentimental memories, on these streets I hold so dear.
