Tonight, we step back into the period of the French Renaissance.
We shall spend the evening meandering among over 2,000 flickering candles at
Chateau Vaux de Vicomte, recreating the aristocratic atmosphere of the
seventeenth century.
We celebrate the legendary fete thrown by Nicolas Fouquet in honour of the
king.
The unbelievable Royal Banquet, that showed all of Paris that HE was the
king that night.
The party that ended his life as he knew it.
I have dreamed of attending this Candlelit Fete in his honour for five
years…and am counting down the hours till 22:00 when it begins…as the
sun sets.
