Le Boucherie

Le Boucherie

Last sublime Steak Frites in Paris lunch.

And boy, did we find one for the record books.

I will put it third in the entire city, after Chez Georges and Chez Paul.

However, I always want to be in St. Germain, and neither of the above are geographically matched.

Boucherie Rouliere however, tucked down a narrow side street next to St. Sulpice, is.

The filet de bouef was perfection.

I ordered them "bien cuit pour les enfants s’il vous plait".

Well done for the kids.

Our waiter smiled at me, and replied "Non.

Medium madame."

And that was that. You don’t argue with one of the best butchers in Paris – from the Auvergne – home to the famous Salers cattle.

The long narrow bistro has cozy communal tables down both sides, just the way I like it.

Ahhhhh – Paris – you do it so well.
