It doesn’t seem possible, but the firepit terrace gets even better.
A lot better.
From 5:45 to 6:30 each night at Spanish Bay, a Scottish Bagpiper glides from the misty, foggy moors.
He strolls through the moors, from north to south, meandering across the beachy boardwalks along the golf course greens, the ocean view, and the sunset.
As you warm by the fire, wrapped in blankets.
Most will tell you golf, but I say this is what makes Pebble Beach such an iconic, fantastic experience.
The Spanish Bay terrace, tiered down the "moors" toward the ocean, is dotted with blazing fires in every warm, wonderful, woodsy firepit lounge.
I could sit here all the day and night long.
Cocktails are passed…
Blankets are draped…
Life is good.
Well, this simply had to be shared.
A shout out is in order.
Please meet but 1/4 of the Pebble Beach catering and hospitality team that gathered today for Preconference to walk through every single wonderful wedding detail for our fun filled romantic weekend in honour of Jackie and Kenny.
Eventeurs – have you EVER seen 16 hotel staff gather to walk through the banquet orders bit by bit?
From Chefs to Bar to Front Desk to Rooms to Golf to Entertainment…
Welcome to paradise, right here in Pebble Beach.
Bye bye summer…
This weekend is Labor Day – time for one last garden grill party celebration.
Tune in tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30th to ABC7 at 9 am, to see our beautiful “Say Goodbye to Summer” Backyard Barbeque Soiree.
From creating an outdoor lounge, to fresh Windy City Linen color palettes, farm fresh menus with five ingredient, five step or less recipes, to a truffle truffle Cake Jar dessert bar that doubles as favors, we’ve got everything you need for this weekend.
You know that we don’t throw a party without fabulous florals setting the scene inside and out…and wait until you see our exciting new design details.
We will feature our lovely Debi Lilly Designs exclusively for Safeway/Dominick’s bouquets – perfectly arranged into a summer fresh garden bouquet right in your grocery aisle, to drop right into your own personal vases at home.
Making less prep, less work, and more fun for your next fun fete.
Cheers to Labor Day Weekend, everyone.
Our meetings today with beautiful new brides are done…
The day’s prepping and packing for our pretty Pebble Beach and chic Chicago weddings next weekend are done…
So now it’s time to design our Diner et Blanc tablescape for tonight.
White flowering Azaleas, easy and light to transport on the El, are potted.
Rolling suitcase is pulled and ready to fill with the placesettings:
Vintage plates to double as chargers
Mini Tagines from A Table 13 in Paris
Teacups to hold white spreads n sauces
My new mini Duralex glasses from Merci in Marais
Three sizes silver forks (the teeny ones I just sourced at Bovida after Dominique’s dinner party)
Wooden spreaders for mustards, chutneys and more from Monoprix
Now to try and pack it all inside ONE roller bag WITH my giant, groaning bag of white groceries…
