Bloomingdales Beauty

A toast is in order.

Only ONE more day until THE party of the wedding planning season.

I can hardly sleep tonight – I am so excited for tomorrow night’s Pre Wedding Party at Bloomingdales Home and Furniture.

You simply must join us – from 6-8 pm at 600 N. Wabash in Chicago’s legendary Medinah Temple.  And here’s why…

We debut our eight trend tables for the season’s top wedding color palettes, decor and floral vignettes, paper couture, and so much more.

From the aforementioned Royal Wedding, where we pair our “sneak peek” designs for Kate and Wills with Cacao Bakery’s Mini Whoopie Pie tiered wedding cake.

Can you even imagine this work of art?  Candice has been color creating, testing and baking for a week – to perfectly coordinate to Kate (and Diana’s) favorite color…blue.

Tomorrow Cacao debuts the next trend in royal weddings:  Wedding Cake Whoopie Pies in beautiful Blueberry with lemon filling, rolled in gold.

Speechless.

See why I can’t possibly sleep?

Now, moving on to Food for Thought Catering’s INCREDIBLE mouth watering menu.

Tell me this isn’t the end all, be all wedding party menu:

Grilled Chicken Agrodolce with Fresh Giardinerre, Sultanta Raisin Aioli and Black Currant Crostini

Wagyu Kobe Carpaccio with Crisp Taro Root, Thai Basil and a Silken Banana Miso Coulis

Farro Grain Arancini with Pancetta, Spring Mushrooms and Basil

Merguez Kataifi with Merguez Sausage, Caramelized Phyllo, Tender Golden Dates, Wilted Spinach and Harissa Sauce

Chevre Panisse with Bright Citrus Marmalade, Spiced Pistachio and Frisee Leaf

and

Golden Corn and Sweet Maine Lobster Beignet with Tarragon Aioli

Ummmmm…delicious.

So come on over, have a bite, say hi – and by all means – come HUNGRY!
