Ahhhhhhhhhh…
A respite from the great Chicago blizzard.
From zero degrees temps.
From snowbanks higher than the roof of my SUV.
A few days in sunny LA LA land is just what I had in mind for a recharge.
And my favorite pad in West Hollywood always beckons – the cool, calm Chamberlain Hotel.
The roof is a religious experience for me. The Hollywood Hills behind, the Pacific to the right, the skyline to the left.
I love the neighborhood for walking (more like hiking up to the hotel) to Le Quotidien for my favorite Chamomile Mint iced tea (already went twice today), breakfast at Urth Cafe, design decadence and beautiful boutiques on Melrose, and more.
Friends are on their way for cocktails a la rooftop as the sun sets on a perfect California Day.
Better grab a cabana with a view – quick.
Huge, HUGE, H-U-G-E meeting tomorrow morning.
