My favorite part of the screening A Plate Apart was watching and meeting darling Samanta, one of the culinary students in the pilot.
Isn’t she simply adorable? She’s a total pro onscreen, and has a light in her eyes as she tells her story and shares her passionate love for cooking, her desire for a scholarship, and her personal family life.
As soon as I walked into the cocktail reception she was front and center, working the crowd with her sweet smile, while passing her gorgeous gazpacho shooters.
I told her she was my very favorite part of the pilot, and that we couldn’t take our eyes off of her – hanging on her every word.
Samanta’s gazpacho was perfection – spicy, tangy, crunchy, and refreshing. It took me back to balmy days in Costa del Sol, lunching on liquid salads.
