San Fran’s Fab Florals

It seemed everywhere I wandered, there were adorable, sweet, darling floral shops.

Case in point The Bud Stop, a bus stop like shop on lovely Union Street in Marina District.

Could you think of any more romantic setting, than working on the beautiful city sidewalk day in, day out, designing right then and there as customers walk up, and choose from your beautifully brimming buckets of blooms?  Perfection.

Another picturesque shop, this one on Chestnut in Marina, filled with terracotta pots and galvanized pails displayed in a european style on wrought iron tables and flower racks.

La La LOVE the antique hydrangea…and the green…and the pink…and the…

I find it absolutely intoxicating just to walk by a flower shop.  The scent of all those fresh flowers is so transporting.

The Ferry Building Marketplace is filled with beautiful flowers at each and every turn (more on the food at each twist and turn later…).

The flowers!  The colors!  The textures!

These farm fresh bouquets are just picked, ripe from the fields just miles away from this shop.  I love the soft, feathery mix of these California native blooms (most of which we just don’t see in the fields around Chicago).

They have really, truly thought of everything floral.  Including the dried bouquet, just for the kitchen.

I just love California.
