Great Taste, Delicious Weddings

It has been so hectic lately with events…there has been no time for blogging at all.  Time to catch up, and share my favorite recent parties.

The Great Taste Weddings Event was delicious – for every single one of the senses.  Of course the color palettes and decor were jawdropping…showcasing our latest and greatest wedding color palette trends of oyster gray and sorbet tones of buttercream, apricot and blush pink.  Combined with vintage silver cups, urns, footed trays and mercury glass vases and votives, cut crystal candlesticks and more, the room sparkled and shone with warm, inviting, intimate romance.

Shown here, the dramatic focal point table as guests entered the stunning Room 1520 downtown Chicago, where we featured elegant French Tulips, Curly Willow, Blush and Apricot Roses and Summer Stock, compotes filled with fuzzy peaches and glossy clementines, and candles, candles, candles.

The tables, chairs and linens were all provided by Classic Party Rental, and the chic, new textural bengaline linens in buttercream and oyster gray set the perfect tone for the stone gray urban chic loft space.  The Ice Chivari chairs combine silver and acrylic finishes, creating the ultimate Hollywood Glamour detail to any event.

Here my favorite breath of spring – Sweetpeas – are combined with a second favorite – Ranunculus – for a frilly accent to the massed Spray Rose centerpieces.  The moroccan teacups are filled with votive candles, for a textural, exotic accent to the tables.

Room 1520 is Aspen meets Chicago…with the fieldstone fireplace and roaring fire within, and tall, gorgeous raw columns that have a birch tree like rough hewn dappled paint finish.  The skyline view adds the ultimate urban cityscape background, especially with hundreds of votives flickering in the windowsills.

Every table varied in it’s design details…trays were different shapes, votives were different metallic finishes, urns and cups were footed, handled, and more.  I can’t decide what my favorite combinations were…

These Victorian baskets were carried into a new decade of design when abundantly filled with a cascade of spring blush roses.

The finishing touch were our French inspired lounge vignettes, with a pair of white love seats, acrylic coffee tables, fluffy shag round rugs, and Classic Party Rentals’ white chivari chairs with buttercream lamour chaircovers.

Thank you to Matt and Stevi, photographers extraordinaire at Avery House Creative, for these stunning photos.

More delicious decor, catering from Entertaining Company, and Cake Tasting from Chicago’s best bakeries to come…as this is just the first “taste”!
